The Leading Association for Data Center Professionals
  About Us

Formed in 2001, AFCOM’s Data Center Institute (DCI) is a prestigious “think tank” comprised of experienced data center managers, industry leaders and solution providers who examine issues and trends affecting data center operations. The group’s charter is to provide thought leadership and direction for the industry about data center related matters.

Milestones

2006
The DCI announces Five Bold Predictions for the data center industry that will change the way organizations do business.

2004
New DCI seminar series developed to address pertinent issues in government regulatory compliance and the redefinition of the data center.

2003
Alarmed by the looming enterprise systems skills shortage, the DCI partnered with Marist College and the IDCP to develop the very first certificate and bachelor’s program for Data Center Experts.
