Dave Smith

Chapter President

VP Enterprise Data Center Infrastructure Management for US Bank

Smith, a graduate of Pittsburg State University with an associate’s degree in HVAC Technology along with certifications in Construction Management, PMP Project Management, Master Mechanical and Electrical and OSHA 309A electrical standards. He is also a member of the Uptime Institute, AFCOM, 7x24 Exchange and Refrigeration Service Engineers Society of America.
He previously worked as a critical facilities manager for Sprint and DST in Kansas City. Smith grew up working in a 3rd generation family owned mechanical, electrical and commercial refrigeration business until the late 1990’s when he moved into Data Center critical facilities management. Most recently, he works for US Bank Corp overseeing all critical facilities Engineering and IT Hardware support groups as well as all major infrastructure capital expenditure projects.

US Bank Corp a fortune 500 company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota currently has multiple critical facilities across the country providing data processing and paper processing coast to coast as well as abroad.

Smith joined the AFCOM board holding position of President in 2016.

Michael Bell

Michael serves as Chapter Sponsorship Director of the Denver “Rocky Mountain: Chapter of AFCOM. He is also a project manager for the Mission Critical division of Burns & McDonnell. Experienced in both project management and engineering, Michael has designed and built over 100MW of critical power for mission critical facilities in his career. Although a licensed electrical engineer, his expertise includes mechanical, fire protection, and plumbing. Michael also serves on the Kansas City Chapter Board of AFCOM and is an active contributor to the data center industry.

Miller, a licensed electrician, completed Associated Builders and Contractors Apprenticeship for electrical In addition he holds a certificate in Project Management which was in partnership with Purdue University. He previously worked as a Senior Project Manager & Senior Estimator for Pro Energy. He owned his own electrical contracting company working in data centers. Most recently, he worked for Cosentry a Midwest data center provider. CoSentry was acquired by Tier Point in 2016.
