Thom Jackson

Chapter President

Thom Jackson is a data center design engineer with over 15 years of experience designing data centers of all sizes and redundancy levels.

Employed at Dunham Associates, he works to coordinate the needs of the IT and facility teams to help develop project requirements for data centers of all sizes. Thom is responsible for the comparison and selection of mechanical systems to provide scalable solutions for the life of the data center. Thom has been through the Uptime Institute’s Tier Level approval process several times including the highest Tier IV certification. Thom is dedicated to sustainable design as a LEED Accredited Professional and a DOE Data Center Energy Practitioner and has performed multiple data center energy efficiency studies to reduce data center energy usage for clients across the country.

Pat Siebenaler

Chapter Vice President

As an integrated technology leader for more than 16 years, I’ve helped companies minimize business risk and reduce wasteful technology investments by designing strategic IT roadmaps that maximize technology placement and spend on office and data center solutions. Uniquely, I bring skills to bridge facilities and IT for data centers, real estate and consultants to meet the goals and objectives of all parties involved in consolidating data centers, implementing flexible work spaces and implementing a DCIM solution for better operational efficiencies.

I’ve achieved results through skillfully developing long-term relationships with key stakeholders, being a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to clients and sales teams, and by getting the right people on the team to implement solutions and following through to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

Aaron Grenz

Chapter Secretary

Aaron Grenz is currently the APC by Schneider Electric Territory Manager overseeing the sales and engineering teams covering 5.5 states in the Upper Midwest. Since 2001, Aaron was worked specifically within the data center industry in sales management, direct sales, channel sales, marketing, and business development. Aaron also has a deep passion for collaboration, learning, and personnel development. For 3 years, Aaron led APC's Partner Training Team for North America to develop and deliver product and sales curriculum for 8,000 Technology Partners.

Aaron's hope for serving as a board member is to ensure our local chapter has more opportunities to "connect" within our community both inside and outside of chapter meetings. When our end-users, designers, installers, and vendors come together, we can achieve far more success and create more opportunities for Data Center advancement here in Minnesota.

Bill Doty

Chapter Treasurer

Bill is currently the Information Technology (I.T.) General Manager responsible for 24 x 7 x 365 data centers and server rooms for CH Robinson, a growing $16.5BB global third party logistics provider with over 300 branch offices worldwide. 

With over 30 years of experience as an I.T. professional working in data center environments in California and Minnesota, Bill has vast experience managing IT teams including Disaster Recovery, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Electronic Data Interchange technical support, and Intranet development and support.  He completed a multi-year, tier 3 designed datacenter project from the initial planning through the executive approval, site selection, detailed planning, construction, and migration phases for two data centers. 

With broad industry experience including retailing, financial services, food distribution, transportation, and computer hardware and software products and spanning multiple platforms including mainframe, Wintel, UNIX, Linux and other distributed solutions, Bill is uniquely qualified as a Data Center Institute Board member.

Kylle Jordan

Chapter Membership Director

Kylle Jordan is a Regional Business Development Manager for the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). In her role she works closely with companies of all types to help them locate and expand in communities throughout Minnesota. She manages DEED’s Shovel Ready program and is also the state’s industry specialist in Data Centers. Kylle is a member of the 2019 Data Center World Content Advisory Team, and works with many data center developers and managers to grow and promote the State of Minnesota as an ideal location for new projects, help them qualify for the state’s sales tax incentive program, and provide forums for these industry professionals to connect.

Michelle Wylam

Chapter Programs/Events Director

Michelle Wylam is the Director of Excellence at Itascapoint Advisory Services. As a former attorney, Michelle has an eye for the details that ensure project success in data center and cloud environments. She works closely with customers to develop and execute data-driven cloud and data center strategies. From DR and future planning to data center migrations and all that lies between, Michelle is passionate when it comes to assisting customers manage their environments to maximize their investments.

Bob Grill

Chapter Director at Large

Bob Grill has been in the electrical construction industry for over 30 years and is on the Mission Critical Services team at Hunt Electric Corporation.  His experience within data centers ranges from new construction to retrofits, battery change out to complete rewire projects.  Bob works with his teams and coordinates with other trades to ensure a seamless upgrade of equipment without unplanned downtime for his customers.   Bob holds many industry licenses and certifications and has decades of experience with testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting.
