Message from the Greater Minnesota Chapter Board

Welcome to Greater Minnesota AFCOM.

Since 2007, our chapter has brought together data center professionals, end users, industry partners, educators, workforce organizations, community leaders, utilities, trades, and public officials from across Minnesota.

Today, our work extends far beyond industry networking. We are building a stronger connection between the data center industry and the communities we serve. Through education, workforce development, community engagement, and five statewide workstreams, we are creating trusted resources that help Minnesotans better understand the opportunities, responsibilities, and local impacts connected to data center development.

Our work focuses on power and energy, water and environmental stewardship, construction and community impact, economic and workforce development, and community engagement. We are committed to providing clear facts informed by subject matter experts and shaped by the voices of people throughout Minnesota, including Indigenous communities, people with lived experience, educators, students, city councils, utilities, cooperatives, businesses, and local residents.

We believe Minnesota can lead the future of the data center industry through collaboration, responsible growth, innovation, and a strong workforce. Everyone has a place in that conversation.
